 Geographic Alliance Bulletin

We are pleased to announce the newest member of the DGA team. Ms. Rosanne Cristanetti has joined us as the Middle School Level Manager. She brings multiple world-wide experiences as well as her expertise as a middle school social studies teacher, having just retired from Brandywine School District. She looks forward to working with the middle level teachers of Delaware.

Congratulations to Our Map Contest Winners!
Sixty students in the 3rd to 5th grade category, and one high school student, entered their maps showing summaries of the books that they read. We had a difficult time choosing winners! Many thanks to our illustrious judges, Maggie Legates and David Legates. Thanks also to the teachers who encouraged their students to participate in this activity which tied Geography with Common Core.
We were delighted to see both fiction and non-fiction represented by well-constructed maps with great creativity. See the winners below.
